Rotas
|
A rota (roster or shift pattern) is essentially a sequence of shifts and rest days that repeats after a fixed period of time, typically between one to ten weeks although it can be anything between one day and several years. It doesn't matter how complicated a rota is, it, and any number of other rotas, can be set up in RotaView. Each rota has a start date and a set of rota lines, which are essentially starting positions in the rota (or shift pattern). So, for example, a 5-team rota system will have five rota lines defined, one for each team. When staff are assigned to the rota from a given date they are allocated a rota line, for example, team 3. RotaView is then able to calculate where that person is in the rota for any date after their starting date. ContactResource Analysts LtdTel: +44 (0)1273 202880 Email: info@rostering.co.uk |
